What customers say?

“ Walked past here a few times but the rain helped us decide today. Could not fault the food or the service. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had the pork belly, qyoza, tempura prawns and katsu chicken all washed down with a buy one get one free cocktail the menu was huge! Maybe a little too big but we will definitely be back to try a few more things. Thanks for a great lunch ”

“ I recently had the pleasure of dining at what I believe is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in Sanur, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the inviting ambiance, which offers both outdoor and indoor seating options. I opted for an outdoor table, and to my surprise, the weather was perfect—pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze that enhanced my dining experience. The menu was filled with enticing options, making it difficult to decide what to order, but I was determined to try a variety of dishes. I can confidently say that every single item I sampled was nothing short of delicious! The flavors were vibrant and expertly crafted, and the portion sizes were generous, making the prices feel incredibly reasonable. The standout dishes for me were the clam soup and the tonkatsu curry rice. The clam soup was rich and flavorful, with perfectly cooked clams that melted in my mouth. As for the tonkatsu curry rice, it was an explosion of tastes—crispy, tender pork cutlet drenched in a beautifully spiced curry sauce, served over fluffy rice. I can’t emphasize enough how sensational these dishes were; each bite was a delight! I left the restaurant thoroughly satisfied and already thinking about my next visit. I can wholeheartedly say that whenever I find myself in the Sanur area again, this restaurant will be at the top of my list. Highly recommended for anyone looking to indulge in incredible Japanese cuisine! ”

“ Fantastic! Sushi that practically melts in your mouth; gyozas really good; miso soup - hot and fresh, just what’s needed after a week of heavy fried food on vacation :D Highly recommended place! We regret we didn’t come here before, as tomorrow we are flying back home … ”

“ We had a fantastic lunch at Soya Japanese Restaurant in Sanur. The food was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavourful and served in huge, generous portions. The service was excellent too; the staff were so friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. They even boxed up a takeaway bag for us without hesitation, which was such a thoughtful touch. We loved our lunch here and will definitely be back next time we’re in Sanur! ”

“ It was seriously delicious! I’m Japanese, but even compared to Japan, the level is really high. The scallops were a bit watery, but the beef tongue was insanely good value. The miso soup was tasty enough to be served in Japan. Definitely worth going! ”

“ I was invited by my sister to have a late lunch here. Good option to get an Air conditioning while enjoying your meal. We've got complimentary samosa as a welcome snack. It tastes yummy. Kimchi soup was good, gyoza was also delicious and my seafood sushi was also very good. Drink portion is considered generous. Will come back again to try another menu. ”
